Step-by-Step Guide: Creating an AI Talking Face in Synthesys

  1. Open Synthesys and Start a New Project

Log in to Synthesys.

  • Click New Project from the left sidebar.
  • Select the Talking Faces tool.


  1. Choose an AI Actor
  • In the Select Actor screen, choose an avatar from the gallery.
  • You can:
    • Select a default actor.
    • Upload a custom actor.
    • Use a previously saved actor.
  • Preview the selected actor on the right side.
  • Click Continue.

  1. Configure the Actor
  • In the Edit Talking Face Character section, describe any changes you want.
  • Example:
    • Change clothing color.
    • Add a company logo.
    • Modify appearance elements.
  • Upload any required images (such as a logo).
  • Click Apply Edit.
  • Wait for the AI to generate the updated character.
  • Click Continue.

For example: Change hair color to black. She’s wearing eyeglasses with red lips. 

RESULT

  1. Add or Update Your Script

In this section, you can add, edit, or update the script that will be used as the audio for your Talking Face video. You can add scripts from other languages, not just English.

  • Add script
  • Click Continue 

5. Create an Attention Grabber

  • Navigate to the Attention Grabber step.
  • In the prompt box, describe the action you want the actor to perform.

    Example:

    "The character looks straight at the camera and slowly shows a small sign saying 'TRY IT!'"


  • Optionally use the quick suggestions:
    • Wave hello
    • Hold a sign
    • Surprise emotion
    • Double hand wave
    • Dance move
    • Funny panic
  • Click Generate Attention Grabber.
  • Review the generated animation.

  1. Add Extra Elements (Optional)
  • Enable Add Elements to Your Actor.
  • Describe any additional objects or props.
  • Examples:
    • Add a sign.
    • Add a product.
    • Add decorative elements.

  1. Configure Website Integration
  • Integrate the Talking Face by adding the embed code into yuor website


  • Preview how the actor will appear on your website.


  • Adjust playback settings:
    • Hide attention grabber
    • Loop clip
    • Auto-close after playing
    • Hide the close button
    • Display mute button
  • Adjust the actor size using the slider.
  • Save
