What are Credits?

Credits are usage units used to run eligible tools in the platform.


Credits may come from:

  • purchased credit packs
  • bonus credits
  • promotional credits
  • credits included in credit-based plans

Current Synthesys plans use credits directly. If your plan is credit-based, your usage is deducted from your credit balance.

Some Unlimited or eligible legacy plans may include a Monthly Allowance first. If your plan includes a Monthly Allowance, eligible usage is deducted from that allowance first.


Once the Monthly Allowance is used, you can choose to continue with credits or wait until your allowance resets.


Credits are not used automatically after a Monthly Allowance is used. You will be prompted before credits are used.
